The Music Is Art DVD/CD is now available online
from Good
Charamel Records!! All proceeds from the sale of the
collection go to benefit Roswell Park Cancer Research Institute
and Camp Good Days. It features 19 bands performing live
at Robby Takac's Music is Art Festival in Buffalo last June.
Plus some priceless footage of Robby himself :-) A must-have
for every Goo fan!!
Check out interviews with some of the bands

of them are anti-war and dig what we're doing!

Super-quick update for you, since it's been
a few days.... TONS of awesome discussions happening on
the message board, check
it out if you haven't in awhile! Everything from Radical
Cheerleaders to unemployment stats, something for every

Last weekend's Music Is Art Collection release
party rocked! Hours and hours of amazing bands, amazing
art, fantastic weather, Robby the awesome host running around
with tons of energy.... What more could you want?! We got
to talk to some of the bands and get their political views,
stay tuned for transcriptions.... Plus sound bytes of the
Robby interview from last week. The Big Pink Banner made
its second trip to Buffalo, catching the Goo landmarks we
missed the first time, including La Nova and Duffs restaurants.

The Fans for Peace have spoken! The winner
of our book club contest is Rose! For her thoughtful and
inspired description of the three most important points
in Why Do People Hate America? she'll be receiving
the next book club selection - A People's History of
the United States by Howard Zinn - autographed by the
Goos! It was a narrow margin, so for second place, Rockin'
Robin gets a FFP sticker, autographed by Johnny! Congrats,
Rose & Rockin' Robin! All the fantastic book club responses
can be found here.
And, in other news, Robby has spoken! To
celebrate the end of the tour and the opening of his new
record label, Good
Charamel, we managed to line up an interview with
Robby! Yesterday afternoon we got the lowdown on the Music
Is Art project and the madness of the music industry.....
And he was even kind enough to answer some of YOUR burning
questions!! (remember that virtual interview?) Here's
a little taste:
The only thing that stands between the guys who are
sitting in front of computers at Sony trying to figure
out how to make this new way of distributing music work,
the only difference between themselves and myself is
the fact that they have to wear a suit to work everyday.
I
think ordinary people can influence world affairs, it’s
like anything else, if someone who is charismatic enough
brings about a good point, people will back them up
and public opinion will sway. And when public opinion
sways, and they actually go out and vote, things change.
It’s a proven fact, you know? (Gee, Robby, we all
think you're pretty charismatic!)
Freaks
me out! Anytime anybody connects anything positive to
us, man, that makes me feel so good. Cause I mean, we
really try sometimes. Not all the time, but we really
try sometimes to be that thing, you know, that thing
that makes people feel like, wow, we’ll do something
good, something positive instead of something negative.

The Gutterflower tour has officially come
to a close, with this message in the Tour Diary.....
In closing. . . . . The music industry
has been seeing some severe change since the release of
GUTTERFLOWER, hell, the entire world seems to be changing
in unexpected ways every day as of late, and we thank
you all for sticking by us and sticking by each other.
. . . .
Maybe there was the tiniest thought of FFP
in there? We'll never know for sure, but it's nice that
the Goos are acknowledging our rapidly changing world.
Huuuuuuge thank you to Robby, John, and Mike for being
an enormous inspiration for all of us!! We wish you guys
a good well-deserved rest and a fantastic experience with
the next album!!

was able to donate $100 to the anti-WTO convergence in
Cancun, Mexico! The World Trade Organization keeps dozens
of countries impoverished and in debt by making it easy
for corporations to take over their economies and infrastructures.

one of the most harmful organizations in the world. Thank
